Taylor, ND
Taylor was founded in 1882 along the transcontinental rail line of the Northern Pacific Railway. The name comes from David R. Taylor, a railroad official in Mandan and later the founder of a drugstore there.
Geography
Taylor is located at 46°54′08″N 102°25′22″W.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.51 square miles (1.32Â km2), of which 0.50 square miles (1.29Â km2) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03Â km2) is water.[8]

City Services
Garbage
Street-side Collection
Occurs once a week, generally on Tuesdays.
All trash must be placed in bags to minimize the likelihood of litter when the containers are dumped. Please put your container street-side before 8:00 am with the unhinged side facing the street. Promptly remove the container from street-side after pickup.
Only household trash may be picked up. No yard waste (take to city dump), oil, batteries (take to Dickinson), etc. If you are unsure of any item, please contact MGM Sanitation for clarification.
City Landfill
The City landfill is open on Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm – usually from April through October, weather permitting.
Due to ND Health Department regulations, the following items CANNOT be accepted:
- household trash
- plastics, including garbage bags
- paper & cardboard
- furniture containing foam, cloth or vinyl
- carpeting
- asphalt shingles
- oil or grease
- batteries
- electronics
- appliances containing Freon

Opera House rental rates:
One day rental        $150.00
Three Day rental      $1,000.00
Deposit:Â Â Â Â $300.00 without a bar
            $500.00 with a bar
Three Day rentals require renters insurance.
A special used permit will be needed if selling alcohol/beer.
